Iowa Weekend

Nolan had another big weekend of traveling, this time it was mostly in Iowa. We headed north after work on Friday and got to Manson. Saturday morning Nolan had to get his pictures taken and he did a good job early but got tired and hot late. Once the pictures were done it was time to celebrate Grandma Mary Jo's birthday and drive up to Okoboji to see Great Grandpa and Grandma Kruse. We met at a restaurant and enjoyed a good meal and then spent a little time watching the boats on the lake. As we headed home Nolan seemed to enjoy him self very much and giggled for about 5 minutes in the car. It was quite the site to see!

When we made it back to Manson we spent a little time outside before it got dark and Nolan got to try out a swing for the first time.
Sunday morning we got up and went to see Grandpa Dennis and Aunt Hunter. Nolan was kind of grouchy but did enjoy himself a little.

Finally before heading back home we went to the Iowa Arboretum for a picnic with the Lantz family. The original plan was for Spring Lake but with the thunderstorms heading that way, a building seemed like a much safer plan. We were still able to enjoy being outside between rainstorms. After the picnic it was back in the car for home.
