It has been awhile since we updated this page. Life has been a little crazy lately. Nolan was sick and in the hospital for 2 weeks with pneumonia and RSV and then time just got away from us. Nolan started talking a ton to us while he was in the hospital even made some high pitched squeals, he also gave us our first smile in over 6 months. It was the greatest feeling ever to see that smile again, even if we don't know what brings them on. Adam and I have always said that we just want to see him smile again and know that he knows we are there with him. So, when Chad and Erin were visiting in the hospital Nolan decided to give the first smile, and of course mom and dad were thrilled! It is hard to catch a picture of his smiling but these are the two best we could get!

Nolan has been doing great with his therapies as well. He has a stander now that allows him to put some weight back on his legs and a corner seat that helps him with sitting and holding his head up. His head is getting stronger everyday and if he tries he sometimes can hold it up for a minute or so by himself. So, right now the focus is getting his neck strength and getting him to enjoy tummy time, side-lying time, and putting the pressure on his legs again.
