Landon's Baptism

Landon was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church, the same church that his mom was baptized in 29 years ago.  We were able to celebrate with family on October 23, 2011, Landon was 1 month old.  Landon was really good during church and the service.  We were worried that he would be upset because he was due to eat about that time but the pacifier satisfied him until later in the service.  Uncle Jon and Aunt Emily were the present sponsors, Uncle Adam is serving overseas in Afghanistan and Aunt June is down in Georgia with Cousin Alex and so they were not able to make it.  Nolan was also great during church and even talked and smiled lots during the ceremony.  Nolan made it through 3 church services in a row, which is quite impressive for him.  We had lots of family at church and took up quite a few pews.  After church we had dinner in basement at the church and then everyone came to our house for cake and ice cream.  It was a great day with family!
The brothers before church, Landon wasn't quite dressed yet!

Grandma Kruse's quiliting group makes quilts to give the newly baptized on their baptism day, so Grandma got to give Landon his quilt from the church.

Nolan on his baptism day in Kansas City!  We didn't get a very close picture of him in the outfit.  Nolan was baptized when he was just shy of 6 weeks old and Landon was just over 4 weeks old.
