Uncle Adam and Cousin Alex Visit

Uncle Adam and Cousin Alex came up to Iowa to visit for a week while Aunt June went to a wedding in Hong Kong.  We had a lot of fun with them but missed Aunt June, hopefully she will get to meet Landon soon.  Uncle Adam was just getting to Afghanistan when Landon was born so we are so happy and thankful that he is back in the United States safe. 
Here is a summary of the week's activities while they were here.
They arrived on Tuesday and so we went over to Grandma and Grandpa's house to see them.  Since Alex lives in Georgia where they don't have snow Grandpa put some snow on a tray and he played with it inside. 

On Thursday night they came over to our house for some BBQ/Smoked meat.  Alex had fun playing hide and seek and playing with some of Nolan's toys.  Landon and Nolan enjoyed spending some time with Uncle Adam.

Then on Friday afternoon the older men and Alex went over to the indoor golf simulator to spend some quality time.  Grandma, Aunt Emily, Mom and the boys met them for supper.  I think this was only the 2nd time that we had taken both Nolan and Landon out to eat, we know we can do it now!

On Saturday morning we got up early and headed to South Dakota to see all the relatives.  It had been a long time since we had been up to South Dakota and it was Landon's first trip.  We started the day out in Alcester with the Ronning family.  We got to see a lot of family and have lunch together.  There were a lot of kids there, 11 Great Grandkids and 2 Great-Great Grandkids, Great Grandma Mabel would have had her hands full!

After the Ronning gathering we headed to Lennox for Jake and Jacki's wedding shower at Great Grandpa Kruse's house.  There was a lot going on at the house, here are few of those pictures.

After a long day in South Dakota everyone went to Grandpa and Grandma's on Sunday after all going to church together.  We took some pictures of all us together!

Tuesday night they came over to our house again to say good bye but first Alex got to show Nolan how his new Easter toy worked from Grandma. 

We had a great time together and sure wish they lived closer because we miss them when they leave.
