Quick Trip to South Dakota

We got home from Rochester last Friday, the 3rd and then Landon and Mom got up Saturday morning and headed to South Dakota.  Nolan stayed at home with Dad since it was his first day back at home, he needed to rest yet.  We hadn't been up there to see Great Grandpa Kruse in a long time so we thought we would ride with Grandma and Grandpa since they were planning on going already.  Also, the Ronning family had planned a get together since Mom's Cousin Melanie was home from California.
The day started out with a quick stop by Daddy and Uncle Eric's field along the way up to South Dakota.  We showed Landon the corn and he was hesitant at first but then wanted to touch it.
Investigating!

No smiles for the camera.

Those are Yucky ears of corn.
Our second stop of the day was at Great Grandpa Kruse's house in Lennox.  It will be the last time that we will visit him in Lennox, he just sold his house and is moving to Sioux Falls.  It was really good to see Great Grandpa again but Landon wasn't quite sure about him or any other male figure that day. Landon did like the juice that Great Grandpa gave to him in a small mug!!  We didn't get any pictures of Landon with Great Grandpa because he just didn't want to sit with anyone that day.  Mom's Aunt Nancy and Uncle Scott and Cousin Nikki came to visit as well that day.  It was a fun day with some of the Kruse family.
Landon was so happy that he got Nikki's phone while she wasn't looking.

Our next stop for the day was at Great Unlce Melvins' house in the country for the Ronning Family party.  There were other kids there that night but Landon was the youngest there.  He wanted to play with the other kids but they were enjoying running around on a Farm.  Mom's cousin Lesley's husband, John got out the jogging stroller for multiple kids to ride in and he loved being pushed around the farm and looking at everything.  It was great to see cousins that we haven't seen in a long time and sit around outside to enjoy the weather.

It was a good trip and so Thankful that Grandpa and Grandma were with to help with Landon, he was a little off in his napping.  On the way home from the Ronnings Landon "talked" for over an hour in the car and finally fell asleep a little after 9:30pm.  Great time with Family!
