Saturday, the 19th, Landon and Mommy went to Cedar Falls with Grandma and Grandpa Kruse to watch the Panthers. Daddy was in the field and Nolan wasn't feeling well enough to travel so he stayed home with Grandma Marjean. Landon had been to 2 other UNI football games this year with Grandma and Grandpa but this was Mommy's first game of the year. Landon loves going to the games and cheers for the Panthers. We had planned on tailgating before the game but it was kind of rainy and cold so we chose to eat at Peppers instead and then went out to tailgate for just a little bit before we headed into the game. UNI football team was playing University of South Dakota, Mommy's cousin Chris is on the USD football team. Grandma and Grandpa grew up by USD and so they were torn who to cheer for. The Panthers were off to a good lead when Landon and Mommy left for the volleyball game next door. Unfortunately USD came from behind and beat the Panthers in double overtime. UGH! Landon and Mommy went over to watch the volleyball team warm up and then Landon got to go down on the court with all the other little kids for the starting line up! He stood out on the court like such a big boy during the National Anthem and then when they turned the lights off. He gave the girls high fives as they ran past him and one girl gave him a signed miniature volleyball, lucky boy! He loved watching the girls hit the volleyball and would get so excited when they hit it HARD! It was a fun day back on the UNI campus! GO PANTHERS!
