Monday, February 24th, Landon, Mommy, and Daddy drove to Iowa City to stay over night because Landon was scheduled for a Hydrocelectomy the next morning. We left early enough so that he could get some swimming in before he had to go to bed that night. We made it to the hotel around 7:00 and he got his swimming trunks on and headed straight for the pool. He had a blast in the pool with Daddy, especially going down the big slide. After the pool we watched some shows on the iPad before going to bed. Landon didn't sleep very well that night, in fact he woke up at 2:00 AM and was up the rest of the night. When it came time to get up and ready for the day everyone was a wee bit tired. Landon did really well with not being able to eat or drink anything in the morning. We got to the hospital around 6:15 and Landon went back for surgery at 8:22. They gave him some medicine to make him loopy before they took him back which made him pretty funny. After the surgery he didn't want to wake up because he was so tired from not sleeping the night before. We tried telling him different things but he just wanted to sleep. We were finally able to wake him up and he ate a BIG pop sickle then we got moved to the 2nd stage where he ate another BIG pop sickle. He did really well after the surgery and slept the whole way home, we were on the road by 12:45. When we got home he was pretty sore but we had some pain medicine to help him out, he just wanted to cuddle and eat lots of crackers! He was such a big boy and hasn't complained since the first day about anything!
