Chicks and Spring Field Work

April 8th Daddy brought 20 baby chicks home with him, they are broilers and not egg layers.  We were keeping them at our house until they got too big and then they went to Great Grandma Ruth's house, she has a chicken house!  The chicks were so cute and Nolan loved holding them and feeling them.  Landon wasn't so sure about touching them but loved watching them.  Landon would go out and tell them good night and good morning every day.  He loved showing the chicks off to his friends.  The chicks moved out to Great Grandma Ruth's house on the 18th, they were getting too big and stinky for our garage.

Landon would just touch them with one finger!

On April 11th we brought pizza out to Daddy in the field, he was busy working ground.  It was finally a nice night so we took full advantage of it and ate outside at Merlin's house, true farmer style.  Landon got to go for a round in the tractor first and then Nolan and Mommy joined them!  It was a bumpy ride for Nolan but he was a trooper through it.  After we got done riding we were heading home and saw Seth in the field across the road so Landon had to ride with him for a round too.

  1. With those helpers, farm work should be done quickly. How handy to have an ottoman out in the machine shed.
