Special Egg Event 2015

On Saturday morning Nolan, Landon, Mom and Dad went to Des Moines for a special day with Nolan.  We decided to take Nolan down to the Special Egg Event at Valley Stadium, it is an egg hunt for kids with special needs and their siblings.  On the way down we stopped off at Uncle Jonny and Aunt Emily's house to spend a couple of hours with them.  The kids had a blast with them as usual and it was nice catching up with them and all their baby news, it won't be long and their little guy will be here!  We left Mabel at home with Grandma and Grandpa Kruse because it was going to be a little chilly for her to be outside that afternoon.  We did a little shopping in Des Moines before heading over to Valley Stadium around 3:00.  The boys each got a t-shirt and then we got to wander around the event and play a few games and meet some of the mascots they had there before Nolan's egg hunt started.  They had 4 different egg hunts and each kid could do 1 of them: quiet egg hunt for those with sensory disorders, beeping egg hunt for the blind, general egg hunt for siblings, and a magnetic egg hunt for those in wheelchairs.  We did the magnetic egg hunt and Landon also got to do the general egg hunt.  I think both boys had fun and it was a quiet ride home at the end of the day!

TC giving Landon an egg!  The Drake Bulldog tried to give us a purple egg and we said "oh, a Panther egg, we like those" and then the Bulldog dropped it on the ground and went to find us a blue egg.  Landon thought that was pretty funny!
