We have started the tradition with Jon and Emily to not exchange gifts for Christmas with the kids or adults and instead do a weekend together. We decided to do a weekend in Cedar Falls/Waterloo this year on January 7th (Aunt Emily's birthday, HAPPY BIRTHDAY) and attend a Panther basketball game. We met on Saturday afternoon in Cedar Falls and did a little shopping downtown before heading to the hotel in Waterloo. We got to the hotel around 3 and never left until 11 the next morning! We went straight to the pool and did lots of swimming, the kids had a blast together and the adults enjoyed it as well. After swimming we hung out in the hotel room and then ordered out for some food and ate that down in the lobby area! We sang Happy Birthday to Emily and enjoyed some cake! The next morning we did some more swimming and then got ready for lunch at Peppers before cheering on the Panthers! The Panthers did not win the game but we all enjoyed cheering them on! :)
