Memorial Day weekend we all were supposed to leave Saturday morning for Sioux Falls to hang out with family for the weekend. Mabel got sick on Thursday afternoon with a high fever it lasted until Saturday afternoon so the weekend didn't go as planned. Saturday morning Daddy stayed home with Mabel while Landon, Nolan, Mom, Grandma Mary Jo and Grandpa Brad took off for Sioux Falls. We met Uncle Jon, Aunt Emily, and Braxton that afternoon. When we arrive Saturday afternoon we went to the hotel and go settled before heading to the the South Dakota Outdoor Campus. The Outdoor Campus is a neat place that features the South Dakota's outdoor life. Landon was in heaven checking out the animals and then watching the fish in the river! After the Outdoor Campus we went back to the hotel to swim for a little bit before we went out for supper that night! Papa 2 came over to the hotel and then went out to eat with us Saturday night. Sunday morning we got up and went to church in Lennox with Papa 2 and some other Kruse family members. After church we went to visit Great Grandma Audrey's gravestone at the cemetery. Landon had questions and it was fun telling some stories about her with the other Kruses. Next we went back to Sioux Falls and met Dad and Mabel for lunch with the Kruse family! The afternoon was filled with the Falls and the Zoo before going back to the hotel for swimming and pizza! Sunday night in the hotel didn't go well for Mabel, she wanted her own bed; she still was not feeling the best after being sick. Monday morning was not good then since Mabel made Mom and Dad tired and then Nolan got sick so it didn't go as Mom had planned. We got ready and headed for Roseni church for the Memorial Day service at the cemetery and then spend some time with the Ronnings. We made it through the service at the cemetery and then Mabel and Nolan were both done so Dad and Mom packed those two up and headed for home unfortunately. Landon stayed for the service at the church but then he rode home with Jon, Emily and Braxton! It was a fun weekend with lots of family time but the weekend ended abruptly.
