Minnesota Vacation

This past weekend we headed to Minneapolis for Nolan's summer vacation.  This is really his first official vacation with just Mom and Dad.  We headed up Friday night after picking up Mom from work and just went to the hotel.  Saturday we tried swimming in the pool but Nolan wasn't fully awake so he didn't seem to enjoy it as much as the last time we swam.  After swimming we did some shopping.  As we were finishing up he started to get mad so we headed back to the hotel.  After he settled down a little it was getting closer to leaving for the Twins vs Braves game so we only spent a few minutes in the Mall of America.  We found Nolan and Dad Twins hats for the game.  It was cloudy and cold and as we got to the stadium it began to drizzle.  We managed to find some tickets for the game and even made it through 5 innings thanks to some quick baseball.  The game was busy and with the drizzle every place under cover was packed so we really didn't get to check out the ball park all that much.  As we drove away the sun poked out for a few minutes but that would be all we would see of the sun all weekend.
Sunday morning we planned on heading to the Como Zoo.  It was cool and cloudy again but not raining so we gave it a shot.  Nolan was sleeping when we started but he ended up waking up as we looked at the polar bears.  This zoo was nice and small but had most of what you'd want to see at the big zoo without the walking.  About an hour was all Nolan wanted to spend at the zoo so we headed for home.
Ready for the Twin's game.
Nolan was under the coat most of the game and so he didn't like the light when we took him out for a quick picture.

I am still waking up and keep me away from that tiger.
