Early Friday morning Adam and some of the Ramthuns (Luke, Brent, Nate, Garrett, Amanda, Denise and Dave) headed to Rocky Mountain National Park to hike the Twin Sisters. Twin Sisters is 11400 ft. elevation at the top. They left at 6:00AM and returned around 1:00PM all safe and sound. While Adam was on the hike Landon, Nolan and Mom headed into town with Grandpa Dennis and Morgan, Matt, and Caleb. We did a little shopping and got the boys some souvenirs and had lunch before we headed back to the cabins for them to eat and take naps. It was a fun morning out withe family.

A chipmunk crawled into Adam's backpack on a stop and found his Chex Mix. He opened the bag by taking the clip off and ate some. Then he went potty on the backpack before leaving!! :)
Friday afternoon we hung out around the campground with family. We had pizza for supper that Grandpa Ron ordered for everyone. Some of the Ramthuns took off to do a tour of the Stanley Hotel (the hotel that was used in the movie The Shining), we stayed back at camp and socialized!

Saturday morning it was Sarah's turn to go on an adventure so she went horseback riding with a few of the Ramthuns. The horse that she rode was Vego, he was a little stubborn (everyone said the horse was appropriate for her!). At the start of the ride the reign broke so they had to stop to fix it before the horse ran off on her! It was a good 2 hour ride up the mountain behind our cabins and into Roosevelt National Forest. Uncle Dan rode behind her the whole 2 hours and kept trying to scare her because they were getting kind of high. While Sarah was out on the horse ride Adam took the boys along with Grandpa Ron, Grandpa Dennis, Morgan, Matt, Caleb and Brent into Rocky Mountain National Park again. They went up the road that Mom would not have approved of, the one way gravel road!!

We had a great trip out to Colorado and lots of fun with the Ramthun family. This was our first vacation as a family of four and we survived. We got up early on Sunday morning and started the 11.5 hour drive back to Iowa. The drive went a lot better than we thought it would and we were home around 8:30PM. 
Landon was exhausted from the vacation and took good naps on the way home!
