Nolan's New Bathroom!

After a few years of talking about converting our downstairs laundry/bathroom to a shower the project finally got started and wrapped up over the past couple months.  We were able to move the laundry upstairs to the hallway which has been working out great.  It turned out pretty awesome and is much easier to use with Nolan now that he keeps getting bigger.  It has made Nolan's bathtime more enjoyable for him and us and more importantly, so much safer.
The end that the shower went into was where the washer and dryer were before.

To make some more room for Nolan's chair and maneuvering we took out the built in vanity and large storage cabinet to make room for a fold up changing table.  It works out pretty slick and is very nice when moving Nolan from the bath chair in the shower to dry him off and get him dressed.
Just another view of the sink/toilet area before and after.

Nolan getting his first shower in the new setup.  We are still learning how to do it so I am sure we will keep getting better.  After a couple showers we don't get as wet as the first time!

We were able to make these renovations for Nolan because of all the of our family and community support.  The funds used to make the bathroom conversion came from Nolan's Trust Fund that was set up after the benefit for him back in 2009.  Thank you to everyone that has contributed over the years because we would not be able to do a lot of things, like purchase the wheelchair van, for Nolan without these funds.  Words will never be enough to thank everyone for their donations and prayers over the years.  Thank you all so much!
