Hotel Party and UNI Homecoming!

This past weekend we decided to go over to Cedar Falls/Waterloo for a fun overnight stay.  Landon's birthday was Tuesday so we thought we would make a fun weekend of it and go to the UNI Homecoming on Saturday.  Friday afternoon the boys picked Mommy up at work and we headed to Waterloo to our hotel, Isle Casino.  We picked up pizza on the way and ate that in our room before heading down to the pool.  Grandma and Grandpa Kruse weren't too far behind us so they joined us at the pool as well.  Landon wasn't so sure about the water this time because he couldn't touch, he didn't Mommy or Daddy to drop him so he held on tight, silly boy.  He still had fun jumping in and floating around in the water.  After the pool we went outside to see the fish and ducks in the pond.  Landon fed them some food and they would just fight over it, the mean ducks would win most of the time!  Next we went back to the room to hang out for night and the adults took turns going down to the casino to try and win some money.  Mommy won $18 and was pretty happy about that but Grandma was the BIG winner with her $500.  The next morning we went down for breakfast at the buffet and then Landon and Daddy did a little more swimming before we got ready to head over to UNI campus for the parade, tailgating, and the game!
Landon loved the waterfall in the pool.
Sitting on the side, it is safer there!
Nolan and Grandpa checking out the fish and ducks outside.
Nolan enjoying the nice evening outside.
Landon watching the fish and ducks.
The fish got the food that time, Landon was pretty excited!
Enjoying the warm hot tub!
Landon loved the hot tub but Mommy and Daddy were mean and wouldn't let him sit all the way down in the water.
Breakfast was delicious, but Landon had to have his cereal and yogurt!

Saturday morning we got our Panther gear on and made it to Cedar Falls.  First, we had to hit up the book store so we could get some new Panther gear!  Next, we enjoyed the parade even though it rained on us through most of it.  Nolan and Grandma were outside for most of it but then they went into the book store to stay dry and read some books.  Landon really enjoyed it but didn't understand why people would walk up to him and give him candy!  After the parade the boys and Grandma went to the tailgating spot where Grandpa, Uncle Jon and Aunt Emily were waiting for us while Daddy and Mommy walked through campus to see what had changed; 10 years this year since Mommy graduated from there.  A lot of the buildings are still there but the insides have made some changes, especially the library where Mommy used to work, no more books on the first floor.  It was fun to tour part of the campus again and we will have to do it again when we have a little more time.  Tailgating was fun because the weather was perfect, most of us sat in the shade under the tents and Aunt Emily sat out in the sun! :)  We had lunch, talked and played games.  Landon stayed and went to the game with Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Jon while Mommy and Daddy headed back to Manson with Nolan.  It was a fun couple of days and we hope to get to more games this year.

Waiting for the parade to start.
TC and TK!
Watching the parade!
Nolan and Grandma on the other side of the street where they could take shelter from the rain if they needed to!
Mommy moved to the other side of the street as well when it started raining harder but Daddy and Landon braved the rain!
Sun and Fun at the tailgate site!
Nolan and Grandpa!  Nolan's last tailgating experience was in 2010!
Landon was being funny!
Nolan sitting in the shade while Aunt Emily enjoys the sun!
We got Nolan out of his chair for a while and laid him on a blanket on the ground.  Landon thought he should lay by him as well so he got his pillow and blanket out and laid down to talk to Nolan and played his hair, it was so cute!
Uncle Jon and Aunt Emily took Landon for a walk and they found the Panther!
Landon had to pick up all the sticks he could find on their walk and then he fed them to the Panther!
Jon asked Coach Jacobson for a picture, Landon didn't want to cooperate!
