Mabel Ellen's Baptism

On Sunday, March 1st, Mabel was Baptized during the church service.  Pastor Sara did a wonderful job with the service and we are so happy to have Mabel baptized, a child of God.  Mabel's sponsors are people that will be very close to her as she grows up, Aunt Morgan and Uncle Matt and Seth Aljets.  Daddy is one of Seth's Godparents and he is very close with Daddy and will be for a long time.  She is one lucky girl to have so many family members join her on her big day, there were around 37 people in church that day for her.  She did a great job during the service and only let out a little peep when the water was poured on her head and when Pastor Sara gave her back to Mommy at the end.  

Mabel wore the same gown that Mommy wore for her baptism and it is even more special because Mommy's Grandma Mabel made that for her baptism.  Grandma Mabel was very close to Mommy and she was very lucky to have such a wonderful Grandma in her life so it was very special that she got to wear the gown. 

We had dinner at the church after the service, smoked pork loin, cheesy potatoes, green bean casserole, strawberry salad and dessert.  After the dinner everyone came back to our house to hang out and eat some more snacks and cake.
It was a wonderful day spent with family and Mabel enjoyed all the attention!
