Memorial Day Weekend

We had a fun Memorial Day weekend together.  Friday night we all went to Grandma and Grandpa Kruse's house for a fire!  Landon loves to watch fires and throw things in the fire, he has a little too much of his Uncle Adam in him!  We ate supper outside and then enjoyed the nice night outside by the fire.  We made some smores later in the night and then it was time to go home to bed.
Saturday morning Mom and Landon ran to Fort Dodge with Grandma and then came home and went straight out to Grandma Ruth's house for the afternoon.  Mabel, Nolan and Mommy had fun hanging out with Grandma Ruth and Aunt Ellen while Daddy and Landon were in the field with Eric planting the last of their beans!  Around 4:30 we left Grandma Ruth's house and headed to Grandma Marjean's house for supper, Daddy had to stay and finish planting.  We grilled food for supper and enjoyed the company at the lake before taking the long way home that night to drive past the red, white, and blue bins!
Sunday was a lazy day around the house and then Monday morning we got up and went out to Covenant Cemetery for a Memorial Day service.  Daddy, Mabel, and Nolan stayed outside at the cemetery while Mommy had to take Landon to the van because he was scared of the guns that they were going to fire.  After the service we went to Great Aunt Racheal's house for some morning coffee and snacks.  It was nice to catch up with some of the Erickson and Lantz families.
It was a busy but enjoyable weekend, they are never long enough though!
