The Ramthun Family: Kruse Family Weekend

Uncle Jon, Aunt Emily, and Cousin Braxton and our family had decided instead of exchanging Christmas gifts this year we would do a weekend together in Storm Lake at the indoor water park hotel. So, February 19th we packed up and met them in Storm Lake at the hotel along with Grandma and Grandpa Kruse for a fun filled couple of days! We got to the hotel room and Landon was in heaven, the first thing he said was "Thank you Mom and Dad, I love this place, I love this place, I love this place." Best feeling in the world to see your kids so happy. We headed straight for the water park so we could get in as much time as possible. Landon jumped right in and was ready for everything, he even attempted some stuff that he hasn't done before, like the closed tube slide with Daddy, the lily pads, and going around the lazy river by himself! Mabel wasn't so sure about it because she wanted to be independent and she wasn't a good enough walker yet to be able to let her go by herself. Nolan sat with Grandpa Kruse and watched all of us for awhile before they went up to the hotel room and watched some basketball and hung out together! Braxton is a natural swimmer and loved the water! After a few hours in the water we went up to the room to eat some supper and chill out for the rest of the night, but Landon and Daddy did head back down to the pool for awhile. Everyone went to bed early, the swimming really wears you out, even us adults! Sunday morning we got up and found that it was snowing, big flakes! After we walked the halls with the kids a few hundred times we headed to the restaurant for breakfast. After a good breakfast we made it back to the pool for a little bit before we had to check out of our rooms. It was a fun time and we can't wait to do it more often with the kids!
