The Ramthun Family: Beach Day/Travel Day

Wednesday morning it was time to pack up and leave the most magical place. We got our van all packed up and then made one more walk through Give Kids the World before heading out to Daytona. We stopped at the Castle of Miracles to view Nolan's star on the wall, ate ice cream for breakfast, and signed out our villa. It was really sad, mommy had tears as we left but it was time to get back home to our normal routine again! We decided to take the long way home and stop at Daytona Beach before making the long trek back to Iowa. It was Mabel's first trip to the beach and she loved it as much as the others. Landon and Mabel loved running in the water and Nolan enjoyed hearing all the commotion. We ate lunch at a restaurant right on the beach, it was great weather. Our goal was to get just North of Atlanta that night so we could try and make it all the way home on Friday. We made it through Atlanta and got to our hotel about 9:00 that night and we were up and ready to hit the road again about 7:00 the next morning. It was a long drive home but the kids were amazing considering we didn't pull into our driveway until about midnight. It was the most amazing family vacation and we loved everything about it and so grateful that we will have these memories together for the rest of our lives.
